Ashley M. King
Ashley King is the Energy Office Director of Power Africa, where she oversees USAID contributions to Power Africa’s goals. Previously, she has developed and implemented USAID energy policies and programs in South Africa, Indonesia and Kazakhstan. She has also worked for USEPA’s Energy Star Program, the Global Methane Initiative, the US Department of Agriculture, and Costa Rica’s national electric utility. She is registered as a US national expert on climate change policies and measures with the UNFCCC. She has a bachelor’s degree in earth science from Johns Hopkins University and a master’s degree in international environmental policy from American University.
