Mary has over 10 years’ experience delivering exceptional environmental and social sustainability outcomes in the built environment. She looks beyond the building to where the biggest impacts are made through smart masterplanning and community enriching programs to create healthier, safer and more liveable cities.  With experience in South Africa’s distributed solar PV generation market, Mary now leads the City of Cape Town’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency team facilitating a wide range of projects within the Sustainable Energy Markets department to enable further uptake of small scale embedded generation and the development of policies for new technologies such as Electric Vehicles.  Mary has an engineering degree from Stanford University and a Masters from the Royal Technical Institute in Stockholm.
